There are three wombat species in Australia and they are the common wombat, the south hairy nose wombat and the north hairy wombat.

This video is about the burrow of two female common wombats and even though they seem to share the same burrow, one can see there is some tension between them. And it is nice to see both females have a joey in their pouch.

Finding this burrow was awesome and videos were taken over a ten day period and please disregard the camera clock for it is out of whack and will fix it next time I am there.
Wombats are mainly nocturnal but at times, they do come out during the day and mainly to bask in the sun.

Foxes are an introduced pest and are now in most of Australia and I honestly don't know if they'd go for a full grown wombat but joeys would be taken for sure.
