Meteorologist Rob Guarino's apartment building swayed as he rode out the hurricane. News crews covering the storm also turned into heroes. An Australian cameraman put down his camera to help a family escape the flood. Another reporter rescued a woman trapped in her car by carrying her to safety on his back.
