Florida Fire Almost Destroys my Trail Camera (Longleaf Pine Forest)

This is a risk of having a trail camera in a longleaf pine forest down South (Florida). This fire was what is called a prescribed burn, meaning the habitat managers that set it did so on purpose to help the habitat. Fires are a natural part of many ecosystems and suppressing them can have negative effects on the health of said ecosystems. I got lucky this time and will definitely place my Florida trail cameras in the future based on whether or not they have good fuel for fires around them so I don't lose a camera. Do habitat managers use controlled burns where you are? Let us know down below. Thanks for watching!
