In July 2022, I moved my camera-trap from the natural pond, where it was up for most of June (watch the video here: https://youtu.be/Mbho52Sq8GM) to a scent-marking tree nearby. It lies next to a game trail and permanent water source, so I know that there would be a great chance of capturing footage of loads of animal species.
My main aim, however, was to get one of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate leopard to actually STOP in front of the camera! Make sure you watch until the very end of the video - believe me, it's worth it! :)
It's remarkable how many different animal species walked past my trail camera and it just shows the value of choosing a good spot for it. I'd love to hear your comments below.
